No-refund policy

Last updated: May 26, 2026

All sales are final. Plauditly does not issue refunds for paid subscriptions — not for unused time, not for plan changes, not on request. You can cancel any time from your dashboard and you keep service through the end of the period you've already paid for. Try the free tier first (no card, no commitment) before you subscribe.

1. The rule

No refunds. When you subscribe to a Starter or Pro plan, the charge is non-refundable. This applies to your first paid charge, every renewal after it, partial months, plan upgrades, plan downgrades, and accidental subscriptions.

We disclose this rule on the Stripe Checkout page before payment is captured, in these Terms, and on this dedicated policy page. Subscribing constitutes acceptance.

2. Why

We charge a single low monthly fee with no per-testimonial add-ons, no seat math, and no annual lock-in. The pricing works because we don't price in a refund-rate buffer. A generous trial path makes this fair: every feature is accessible on the free tier or visible in the live preview on the marketing site, so you can verify Plauditly fits before paying anything.

3. Cancellation (always available)

  • Cancel any time from your dashboard at /billing → Manage subscription. One click; no email, no sales call, no retention quiz.
  • Your plan stays active through the end of the current billing period — you're not cut off the moment you cancel.
  • After the period ends, your account drops to the free tier automatically.
  • We don't prorate or refund the unused portion of the period you've already paid for.

4. Free tier

The free tier is genuinely free — no card on file, no trial expiration, no "you can't access X until you upgrade". 15 testimonials, one Wall of Love widget, one project. Use it as a permanent home for a small project, or as the trial before committing to a paid plan. There is nothing to refund because there was nothing to pay.

5. Statutory consumer rights (EU / UK)

Some jurisdictions give consumers statutory rights that cannot be waived contractually. We honor them where they apply, regardless of this policy:

  • EU / UK 14-day right of withdrawal. Consumers (not businesses) in the EU, UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway have a 14-day cooling-off period under Directive 2011/83/EU / UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Under Article 16(m) of the same Directive, this right is lost once we have begun supplying the digital service with your express consent and you acknowledge losing the right. We collect that express consent at the Stripe Checkout page when you subscribe, so by paying you waive the 14-day right and the no-refund rule above takes effect immediately. If you have a question about whether your situation qualifies for an exception, email hello@plauditly.app.
  • Other jurisdictions — where local law gives consumers a statutory non-waivable refund right, that right applies regardless of this policy. Email us to invoke it.

6. The narrow exception we reserve for ourselves

We may, entirely at our discretion, issue a credit or refund where:

  • There has been a clear billing error on our side (e.g. a webhook misfire double-charged your card).
  • You were charged after we suspended your account for our reasons rather than yours.
  • Service was unavailable for an extended period (rule of thumb: more than 24 hours of unplanned downtime in a calendar month).

None of these are guaranteed credits and none constitute a contractual SLA. They are case-by-case goodwill outcomes, not rights. Email hello@plauditly.app and we'll work through it.

7. Chargebacks

A chargeback against a non-refundable charge will:

  • Be disputed by us with Stripe, using this published no-refund policy and the Stripe Checkout disclosure as evidence.
  • Result in immediate account suspension while the dispute is open.
  • Be reported to Stripe Radar (and through it, downstream networks); repeated chargebacks across services hurt your ability to use modern subscription products.

If you have a billing question, please email us first — legitimate billing-error claims are resolved quickly without needing the chargeback route.

8. Downgrades and plan changes

You can switch plans at any time from the Customer Portal. Upgrades are charged immediately, prorated for the remainder of the current period. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period — there is no refund for the difference. Until then, your existing plan's features and limits continue to apply.

9. What happens to your data after cancellation

  • Read access to your dashboard continues through the end of the paid period.
  • After the period ends, your account drops to the free tier automatically.
  • If your free-tier usage stays within Free limits, your data stays indefinitely (the free tier has no expiration).
  • Permanent deletion: use the "Delete account" button on the /billing page (typed-confirm flow). This is irreversible and cannot be refunded.
  • You can export everything as JSON at any time via /billing → "Download JSON".
  • Stripe records of past payments remain in Stripe per their own retention policy and applicable tax law (we don't control those).

10. Contact

Billing or statutory-rights questions: hello@plauditly.app. Send from the email address on the account so we can verify quickly.
